Value added courses are conducted for students as per 2017 regulation guidelines to bridge the gap between academic and industry needs. One/two credit courses shall be offered with prior approval from the Head of the Institution. The details of the syllabus, time table and faculty may be sent to the Centre for Academic Courses and the Controller of Examinations after approval from the Head of the Institution. A value-added course on "Arduino Programming and Interfacing" was conducted for the students.
VNPTEL is a good platform for students to learn the concepts and knowledge of other streams in which they are interested, and they also have the opportunity to learn in greater depth about the subjects. These courses also bring out the self-learning initiative of the students. These NPTEL courses are also serving as faculty development programmes. The faculty members and students of ECE have completed various courses such as Enhancing Soft Skills and Personality Development, Digital Image Processing etc.
