The Association activities of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FORZEA) for the academic year (2016-2017) were inaugurated on 23rd September in St. Francis Seminar Hall at 9.45.AM.
The function began with the beautiful prayer song. Ms. M.Benitta Mary, AP/EEE welcomed the gathering. Then our traditional lamp kuthuvilakku was lightened by the prestigious dignitaries as well as enthusiastic students. Er. A. Yogarani, HoD/EEE proposed the activities to be held by the association of FORZEA in the academic year 2016-2017. Then the introduction of the new office bearers was proposed by Ms.A.Paveena, Final year EEE. Then pinning the batch to the President by Dr. A. Saraswathi AP/EEE and the President pinned the batches for the Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-president, Joint Secretary and Joint-Treasurer. Then pinning the batch to the President by Dr. K. Kalaiselvan, ASP/EEE and the President pinned the batches for the Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-president, Joint Secretary and Joint-Treasurer.
Dr. R. Gurumani, Principal of IECW felicitated the gathering and encouraged to do more activities through office bearers. Ms. S. Ramadevi, AP/EEE has introduced the chief guest Dr K. Kalaiselvan, Associate Professor of EEE department, Dr. NNCE, Tholudur.
The Chief Guest presented a Guest Lecture on “Power Electronics”. He clearly explained about Semiconductor Devices, Converters and its applications. The session was very interesting and useful for the students to gather more information about that topic. Ms. A. Praveena from Final year EEE proposed the vote of thanks and the session ended with the National Anthem.
