The service body of IDHAYA ENGINEERING COLLEGE FOR WOMEN was established in the year 2001 to serve the public and illiterates for Health care and its awareness, Plantation of trees, Disposal of waste, Cleanliness of villages, Skill development etc. The students volunteers are engaged in various service bodies like NSS, YRC, ROTRACT, CONSUMER and ECO club.

NSS

Objectives

National Service Scheme (NSS) aims at making social consciousness of the youth with an overall objective of personality development of the students through community services. Our college has a N.S.S unit under the care of trained Programme Officer. It undertakes a regular social service activities including awareness programs, sapling plantation and health camp in the nearby villages.

    Objectives

    The club is run by student volunteers and aims to serve various purposes like awareness against drug abuse, AIDS awareness campaign, blood donation camp, etc.,

    Key Areas of RRC

  • Educate youth with correct, concise and adequate information about HIV AIDS, STI and other related issues.
  • Enable youth to identify and understand situations of exploitation and abuse.
  • Sensitize the youth regarding care and support needs of people affected with HIV and AIDS and its prevention in the community.

  • YRC

    Objectives

    1. To create an awareness on Protection of Health & Life.

    2. To understand and to accept of civic responsibilities and acting accordingly with humanitarian concern for servicing to the sick & suffering.

    3. To enable growth and development of a spirit of service and sense of duty with dedication and devotion in the minds of youth.

    4. To foster better friendly relationship with all without any discrimination.

  • ROTARACT CLUB

    Objectives

    The Rotaract Club of IDHAYA ENGINEERING COLLEGE FOR WOMEN outlooks to provide the young professionals an opportunity to enhance the knowledge and skills that assist them in personality development, to address the physical and social needs of communities to promote betterment in a worldwide framework of service and humanitarianism. Rotaract is in crisp “Thoughts, Ideas and Expressions in ACTION”.

    Goal of Rotaract Rotaract has six goals:

  • Develop professional and leadership skills.
  • Emphasise respect for the rights of others, based on recognition of the worth of each individual
  • Recognise the dignity and value of all useful occupations as opportunities to serve.
  • Recognise, practice and promote ethical standards as leadership qualities and vocational responsibilities
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the needs, problems and opportunities in the community and worldwide.
  • Provide opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the community and promote international understanding and goodwill to all people.
