Thuya Idhaya Hostel is a secured shelter for students. We have hostel specialty as block I & II for students. The hostel can accommodate 500 girls. Hostel has all accommodation spheres needed for the Students. Also has separate solar water heater, RO water plant in the hostel and two water coolers with hot water facility available in Thuya Idhaya Mess. Students are also permitted to use their own laptops and mobiles during allotted time periods in their rooms. The mess is spacious with a dining hall and kitchen. Separate seating arrangements are made for students. Food is hygienically prepared food served by kind-hearted Sisters. For emergency contact Chief Warden Mobile No: 9042340442.

Objectives


To provide a home for students and to help new arrivals to become acclimatised and adjusted to the new environment.

To offer the right atmosphere for study and interchange of thoughts and idea.

To foster among students representing different communities, creeds, languages and cultures of the Spirit of fellowship, understanding, service to the Nation and the sense of unity amidst diversity.

To help students understand, appreciate and imbibe what is best in the tradition and culture and at the same time to prove to be worthy ambassadors of India.

Security in the hostel is one of the most persistent problems that organization needs to address.

Now a day’s security is a prime concern in every human beings’ life.

To maintain daily attendance record hostel management.

The numbers of existing systems are based on RFID monitoring and making students attendance at school but having limitation.

To avoid this entire problem hostel in/out management and monitoring system is proposed.

The system makes automatically monitor entry/exit of student from hostel and gives alert SMS to student parents for high safety.

Alert student parents by sending SMS using GSM module. This system is working without human interface.

The goal of our system is to provide security to hostel students and alert their parents about their in/out timing in the hostel.

Parents get the sense of security by knowing the current information about in and out of their child in hostel.

HOSTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS


1. Students admitted to the hostel should consider it as their home.

2. The wards should strictly follow the rules and regulations laid by the management from time to time.

3. Any report should be made to the Chief Warden only.

4. Any misconduct by the wars will be dealt with severely.

5. A declaration agreeing to abide by the rule and regulation of the hostel has to be signed by the students and countersigned by the parents/ guardian.

6. On admission, the students will be allotted a room by the hostel authorities. These allocations to the room shall be subject to change at any time, for administrative reasons. Students shall occupy only the rooms allotted by the authority and shall not shift to any other room of their choice.

7. On allocation of the room, the student is to take possession of the room, furniture and fittings and ensure that everything is maintained in good order. Any damage will be claimed from the occupant immediately.

8. Dismissal or suspension from the college will entail automatic dismissal or suspension from the hostel also.

9. Before vacating the hostel, students are required to remove all their personal belongings and hand over furniture and other items entrusted to them in good condition, to the hostel authorities. They are required to leave all the electrical fittings in their rooms intact.

10. For damage to common property of the hostel, breakage will be collected from all the students in the hostel.

11. Students are required to clear outstanding arrears, if any, before vacating the hostel.

12. Ragging is a criminal offence. It is prohibited. Those found committing any act of ragging will be dismissed from the hostel and college.

13. Students are not allowed to write or paste anything on the walls; posters of any kind are not to be affixed on walls or in any other places. However, calendars without pictures are permitted.

14. Meeting of any kind can be organized only with the prior permission of the Chief Warden.

15. Any kind of wild, noisy and disturbing celebrations are strictly forbidden in the Hostel.

16. Students shall utilize the service of the dhobi authorized by hostel in charge.

17. Students are requested to be in their room during the study hours and silence hours which will be scheduled by the Chief Warden.

18. Students are not expected to be in the hostel during class hours without the permission of the concerned authority.

19. Students are advised to use mobiles during the permitted time as well as for their studies.

20. Students who want go to the college after college hours expected to obtain permission from the Chief Warden.

21. Students are advised to be careful about the safety of jewelry, money and other costly articles. The hostel does not take responsibility for loss, theft or damage.

22. Leaving the Hostel without Prior Permission is an Offence. They will be missed.

STUDENTS LEAVING CAMPUS

Personal Reasons:

Normally it is advised that the student is accompanied by an authorized escort while leaving the campus. For this, parents of the students shall give the names of visitors/ escorts to the wardens along with their passport size photos for preparation of escort cards.

In case, the parents desire that their ward may be allowed to leave the campus on her own or a group of girl students during the permitted periods on holidays then they may fill the escort form and sent it to the Wardens

LEAVE RULES

The students may avail themselves of hostel leave, whenever they leave the hostel for any reason. Application should be submitted beforehand.

Students are allowed to go home once a month during the weekends.

The hostel leave application which is required for overnight halts, should always contain the date and the time of departure and arrival.

Students who are leaving the campus should return back to the hostel by 6.00pm a day before.

The Chief Warden is empowered to sanction the hostel leave for non working hours & weekends and holidays.
