About the Department

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2001. It offers an Undergraduate programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Postgraduate programme in Communication Systems. The Department of ECE has well qualified and dedicated Faculty members who are expertise in various technical domains. The faculty members are encouraged to enhance their knowledge by attending Faculty Development Programme in premier institutions. They publish quality research work in reputed journals and national and international conferences.

From mobile phones to remote sensing, there are exciting avenues to explore and create even better ideas. With technology becoming all pervasive in everyday life, opportunities for electronic engineers are endless. The department equips the students with strong foundation and technological skills in their relative areas. The department has full-fledged well-equipped laboratories such as Electronics lab, Communication systems lab, Digital lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller lab, Digital Signal Processing Lab, Microwave and Fiber Optics Lab, Embedded Lab, Networking and VLSI lab. These labs facilitate the students to do projects and provide the necessary resources to solve all the technical problems. The students are exposed to the cutting-edge technologies applied in industries by way of internships, in-plant trainings and industrial visits.
